Highlights of F-500 Encapsulator Agent

F-500 Encapsulator Agent is an evolution for fire extinguishing agents, and currently the most versatile agent on the market. It is the only agent that has been tested and approved for almost all kinds of fire. With the number of hazards that firefighters face today, it is important that the extinguishing agent used be versatile and effective, as is the case with F-500 EA. With its capabilities to quickly cool and extinguish all types of fire, F-500 EA stands out from its competition for this and much more. It is also useful as a decontamination agent, since it eliminates 98.6% of the toxins that cause cancer in soot and smoke. Watch the following video that highlights F-500 Encapsulator Agent being used on different fires and hazards facing the world today. It addition to these incredible characteristics, this product is free of fluorine in its composition, being environmentally FRIENDLY.

Why You Should Be Using F500 EA

If you are concerned about firefighter cancer, you should be using F500 EA.

If you are concerned about the environment, you should be using F500 EA.

If you are concerned about lithium-ion battery car fires, you should be using F500 EA.

If you are concerned about Class D fires or mag flash during car fires, you should be using F500 EA.

If your firefighting agent does not provide permanent burn back resistance, you should be using F500 EA.

If you know that foam is not recommended for three-dimensional Class B fires, you should be using F500 EA.

F-500 Encapsulator Agent is now recognized by NFPA 18A Section 7.7.  It extinguishes a fire three-ways. F500 EA encapsulates fuels, rendering them nonflammable.  It rapidly cools – remove the heat; extinguish the fire. F500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction.

One agent is all you need. You can use F-500 EA for Class A, B polar, B nonpolar, Class D, three-dimensional fires and it is recommended by ConEdison/FDNY for transformer fires and by many companies for lithium-ion battery fires.

The future is now.  Call us.

Solar Panel Fires Need F500 Encapsulator Agent

roof top solar panels

You have homes and businesses in your area with solar panels. Whether the building or the solar panels are on fire, you should be concerned.  If the sun is shining, the panels are electrified.  Be safe – use F-500 EA for all solar panel fires.

ConEdison and FDNY found F-500 Encapsulator Agent was the only agent tested that could be applied to energized transformers, tested at 345 kV with negligible electrical feedback to the nozzle. Transformers should be de-energized before fighting transformer fires, but the margin of safety is there for the firefighters, in case nearby equipment is energized.  Remember, foam is highly conductive and should never be used for these fires.

Solar panels often have lithium-ion battery storage.  If these batteries are on fire, again, you want to use F-500 EA.  Multiple companies have tested, recommended and use F-500 EA for lithium-ion battery protection.

Reducing Smoke Virtually Eliminates Cancer Causing Toxins

warehouse fire in Böblingen, Germany

You can easily reduce cancer-causing toxins in smoke by applying 1-3% F-500 Encapsulator Agent in the water stream. This reduces the carcinogens everyone on the fire scene is exposed to. Independent tests show toxins are reduced 98.6% and smoke is reduced 97%. Plus, the scalding steam quickly turns into a warm vapor.

This should be a major concern for every firefighter.

It’s not magic; just a unique solution – F-500 Encapsulator Agent.

F-500 EA extinguishes fires three ways. In addition to removing the heat and encapsulating fuels, F-500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction. This reduces the airborne particulates, greatly reducing toxins in the smoke. F-500 Encapsulator Agent is well-suited to Class A, Class B polar and nonpolar, Class D, three-dimensional fires, and is the only agent recommended for lithium-ion battery and transformer fires.

Watch the video to see how F-500 EA quickly changes the black smoke to a warm, white vapor. This means the cancer-causing toxins are reduced.

The Transformer Fire That Changed How Transformer Fires Are Attacked

Below, you can click on a link to a series of excellent articles in the 2nd/2010 issue of the FDNY magazine WNYF.  These articles describe a transformer fire in Queens, NY that led up to the considerable commitment by ConEdison to begin testing fire suppression agents on energized transformer fires.

F-500 Encapsulator Agent was the only suppression agent tested that could be applied to energized transformers, up to 345 kV, without harmful electrical feedback to the firefighter’s nozzle (the recommended safe distance is streaming from 125 feet). F-500 EA does not create a blanket of foam, so it is excellent on three-dimensional fires. F-500 EA has a unique ability to rapidly cool the massive metal in transformers and encapsulate the hot mineral oil, rendering it nonflammable. Also, F-500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction, greatly reducing the thick, black smoke and carcinogenic toxins in seconds.

In the Queens, New York transformer fire, F-500 EA extinguished the transformer fire in less than two minutes, after foam and powder failed.

According to the Department of Energy, the average age of transformers in the US is 40 years and failures are expected to increase 500%.

F500 Encapsulator Agent is The Future of Fire Suppression

F500 logo featured image

How do we get you to believe F-500 Encapsulator Agent is the fire suppression agent of the future?

Encapsulator Agents are now recognized by NFPA because they are a valuable alternative to foams and wetting agents.

•    Less inventory – One agent for Class A, Class B (polar and nonpolar), Class C (lithium-ion batteries, transformers), Class D

•    Greatly reduces carcinogenic toxins – up to 98%

•    Eliminates scalding steam

•    Renders hydrocarbon spills nonflammable

•    Faster knockdown; faster overhauls – less agent used

•    Less water – less diking, drafting, run-off and calls for more water

There is no better or faster agent for car fires. F-500 EA attacks car fires without magnesium explosions and has been recommended by a many companies as the solution for lithium-ion battery hybrid and electric car fires.

The attached flyer shows the capabilities of foam compared to F-500 Encapsulator Agent.

If you don’t use F-500 EA yet, you should read this.

Super Fast Extinguishment

Calfire

Watch this video and you’ll just have to say, “I wish everything I own worked as well as F-500 Encapsulator Agent at extinguishing fires.”

Faster extinguishment means less exposure to carcinogens, less water and agent used, less drafting, less diking, reduced fatigue, fewer injuries and fewer rekindles.
