F-500 EA does NOT contain any of the 25 targeted fluorinated ingredients including PFOS/PFOA

Foam
Utilizing EPA 537 Modified Test Method, F-500 Encapsulator Agent 1% and 3% firefighting solutions were tested at GEL Laboratories LLC, a US EPA Approved Laboratory, to prove that F-500 EA does not contain any of the 25 targeted fluorinated ingredients including PFOS/PFOA.

Hazard Control Technologies is concerned about this growing issue and wants to stop the madness by educating the fire service, officials, and the general public about the benefits of Encapsulator Technology that does not rely on foam bubbles; hence, fluorinated ingredients to extinguish a fire.

NFPA 18A F-500 Encapsulator TechnologyOver the decades uses of Foams containing fluorinated ingredient including PFOS and PFOA have contaminated ground water, municipal drinking water supplies and wildlife such as deer and fish. Everyday there is a new headline about PFOS/PFOA environmental contamination.

PFOS/PFOA is now known to be toxic, carcinogenic, and linked to cancer, It is no wonder the incidence of cancer in Firefighters and Fire Investigators is 30% higher that any other occupation. Firefighters are dying. This pollution/contamination issue has reached such epic proportions that States are banning the use of Foam and the US EPA has implemented US EPA 537 Modified Test to test the safety of municipal drinking water. This test measures the presence of PFOS/PFOA as low as parts per billion (ppb).
Isn’t it time to start putting the F-500 Encapsulator Agent “Engineered Advantage” to work for you to protect both the environment and firefighters?

F500 EA Useful for Decontamination Procedures

As we know, cancer is one of the greatest occupational hazards facing the fire service to date. The materials found in common items nowadays are proving to be dangerous and can be the cause of some of the harmful carcinogens that cause the awful disease. Please read the attached PDF document about F-500 EA and its use for decontamination procedures. Click on the picture below to access the document.

F500 Encapsulator Agent vs One Million Tires

large_tire_fire

On a Tuesday morning, the Watertown Fire Department responded to a tire fire in Dodge County, Wisconsin. It turned out to be the largest coordinated fire in the state of Wisconsin with 106 fire departments responding with 920 firefighters. One million tires were involved. Failing to control the fire, the Chief was told about F-500 Encapsulator Agent. Within 24 hours, a truckload of F-500 EA arrived at the Wisconsin border and was escorted by state police to the scene.

After two and a half days, on Thursday evening, they began applying F-500 EA. During the night, they were already gaining control of the fire. The F-500 EA was able to penetrate the tires, rapidly cool and encapsulate the burning oils, exuding from the tires. Overhaul continued until Sunday morning when the fire was declared to be extinguished.

You should read this excellent article.  The pictures are amazing.

#You Need F-500 Encapsulator Agent For Three-dimensional Fires!

NFPA 11, Annex A.1.1 –

“Foam is not suitable for three-dimensional flowing liquid fuel fires or for gas fires.”

Which makes more sense?

Trying to lay foam on a three-dimensional object, like the plane in this video,

OR,

Rapidly cooling the plane and jet fuel while you encapsulate the vapors, rendering the fuel nonflammable. Foam does its best to separate fuel from oxygen, but F-500 Encapsulator Agent extinguishes a fire three ways; encapsulating the fuel, rapidly cooling and interrupting the free radical chain reaction.  Any one of those three elements will extinguish a fire.

Watch as a P19 Crash Truck applies F-500 Encapsulator Agent to this plane crash demonstration – impressive extinguishment in 15 seconds.

Progress is Good

We’re getting all new roofing and and some extensive remodeling to our warehouse. We had to move to a temporary warehouse for the next couple of months. Kudos to our staff for the 4 long days of moving from one warehouse to the other with zero interruptions of inbound or outbound shipments! We are looking forward to moving back into our freshly minted digs, soon!

Testing Proves F500 EA Reduces Cancer Causing Toxins

F-500 Encapsulator Agent turns thick, black smoke into a warm, white vapor, reducing cancer-causing toxins. This should be a major concern to every firefighter.

By adding F-500 EA in the water stream, there is a 98.6% Reduction in Toxins and a 97% Reduction in Smoke.

By clicking below, you can read the actual independent testing done by Clemson University.

It’s not magic; just a unique solution – F-500 Encapsulator Agent.

F-500 EA extinguishes fires three ways. In addition to removing the heat and encapsulating fuels, F-500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction. This reduces the airborne particulates, greatly reducing toxins in the smoke. F-500 Encapsulator Agent is well-suited to Class A, Class B polar and nonpolar, Class D and three-dimensional fires. F-500 EA has been tested and approved by ConEdison for transformer fires. After the power is removed, F-500 EA can be safely applied without fear of electrical feedback to the nozzle if the stream comes into contact with other energized equipment.and is recommended for today’s car fires, with magnesium components and lithium-ion batteries in hybrid and electric cars.

Fighting Class D Fires with F500 EA

TeslaFire

Never apply water or foam to Class D fires, but if you add just 3% F-500 Encapsulator Agent to the water, you change the way the droplets react with heat. A plain water drop inefficiently removes heat by steam conversion. F-500 EA droplets efficiently absorb the heat by thermal conveyance. The F-500 EA molecules form a protective skin that prevents the hydrogen flare-ups and explosions from the high temperatures of Class D metals.

Class D magnesium is found in steering columns, door and seat frames, and dashboards, so every time you approach a vehicle fire, you should protect yourself and your equipment by using F-500 EA for all car fires.

Take a look at this video to understand the recommended technique for fighting Class D fires.

For Three-Dimensional Fires You Need F-500 Encapsulator Agent

Propane training

NFPA 11, Annex A.1.1 –

“Foam is not suitable for three-dimensional flowing liquid fuel fires or for gas fires.”

How many fires are actually three-dimensional fires?

Foam can’t form a blanket to smother these fires.

F-500 Encapsulator Agent rapidly cools. If you remove the heat, there’s no fire. F-500 EA also encapsulates fuels, rendering them nonflammable and F-500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction, which greatly reduces smoke, steam and carcinogenic toxins. Any one of these three elements can extinguish a fire.

Watch F-500 Encapsulator Agent extinguish this difficult three-dimensional, Class B fire in seconds.

If we can help you with any questions about F-500 Encapsulator Agent, Pinnacle foam or HCT’s portable delivery equipment, please don’t hesitate to call.

F500 Encapsulator Agent is Declared the Winner

firefighters

“I just don’t understand why every firefighter isn’t using F-500 EA.”

We hear that time and again.  We’ve told you how F-500 Encapsulator Agent virtually eliminates carcinogens in the smoke and results in a warm vapor, instead of scalding steam.  We’ve told you this one product can replace Class A foam, AFFF, AR-AFFF and powders. It’s the only recommended fire suppression agent for lithium-ion battery car fires and ConEdison testing proves it can be applied to energized transformer fires (up to 500 kV). How many fires are three-dimensional? NFPA 11 says foam is not suitable for 3D fires. You need F-500 EA. It can save your fire department money.

Still not convinced?

Attached are twenty real world scenarios where F-500 Encapsulator Agent succeeded, against the competition.
